These lovely coloured
millipedes from Africa are commonly known as
OLIVE MILLIPEDES as
they are very similar to the colour of olives.
Like all millipedes these have lots of legs and this
species is particularly fast moving for a millipede,
probably because of their small size and low body
weight.



Baby olive millipedes are
very small indeed and they spend much of their time
either buried in the ground or hiding beneath logs
or other objects on the surface of their enclosure.
The coin used in the picture below to provide an
idea of size is a standard British 1p coin, so as
you can see they are really quite tiny!
